To install and configure the modem click the 'Start' button, then 'Settings' then 'Control Panel'.

1. To begin, click the Start button, select 'Settings', then 'Dial-up Networking'.
2. Double-click the 'Make New Connection' icon.
3. A dialog box will open welcoming you to the Network Connection Wizard, click 'Next'.
4. Type the name for your new connection: 'Vantech Media'. Select your installed modem from the 'select a device' drop down menu and click 'Next'.
5. Type 08451231712 into the 'Telephone number' box (leave area code blank) and select 'United Kingdom' from the 'Country or region' drop down menu, and click next.
6. Click 'Finish'.
7. To use your new Internet connection, double-click the 'Vantech Media' icon.
8. Enter your username and password, select the 'Save password' box and click 'connect'. You will now be connected to your Vantech Media connection.

the following instructions explain how to setup an e-mail account using Microsoft Outlook Express

1. Double-click the 'Microsoft Outlook Express' icon on your desktop.
2. A window will open welcoming you to the MSN Internet Access Wizard. Click 'Next'.
3. Click the 'LAN/Manual' button, which opens a new wizard box.
4. Select 'Connect using my phone line', and click 'Next'.
5. Select 'Use an existing dial-up connection', and choose 'Vantech Media' from the list, and click 'Next'.
6. Select 'No' on the following screen, and click 'Next'.
7. Select 'Yes' to 'Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now?', and click 'Next'.
8. Type in your name in the 'Display name' box, and click 'Next'.
9. In the 'E-mail address' box enter the e-mail address that you chose during signup (e.g. joebloggs@vspeed.net) and click 'Next'.
10. Select 'POP3' as the 'incoming mail server' type in the drop down menu.
11. Type 'mail.vspeed.net' as the 'Incoming mail server address'.
12. Type 'mail.vspeed.net' as the 'Outgoing mail server address'.
13. Enter your username and password. Select the 'Remember password' box, and click 'Next'.
14. Click 'Finish'.

To use your new Vantech Media Internet connection, click the Start button, select 'Settings', then 'Dial-up Networking' then double-click the Vantech Media icon.
