To install and configure the modem, click the 'Start' button, then 'Settings' then 'Control Panel'.

1. Double-click 'My Computer' and then 'Dial-up Networking'.
2. Double-click the 'Make New Connection' icon.
3. A dialog box will open which will welcome you to the Network Connection Wizard, click 'Next'.
4. Type the name for your new connection: 'Vantech Media'. Select your installed modem from the 'select a device' drop down menu and click 'Next'.
5. Type in 08451231712 into the 'Telephone number' box (leave area code blank). Select 'United Kingdom' from the 'Country or region' drop down menu, and click next.
6. Click 'Finish'.
7. Type in your username and password and select the 'Save password' box. Click 'connect'. You will now be connected to your Vantech Media connection.

To use your new Vantech Media Internet connection, double-click the 'Vantech Media' icon.

the following instructions explain how to setup an e-mail account using Microsoft Outlook Express.

1. double-click the 'Microsoft Outlook Express' icon on your desktop. A window will open welcoming you to the MSN Internet Access Wizard. Click 'Next'.
2. Click the 'LAN/Manual' button, which will open a new wizard box.
3. Select 'Connect using my phone line', and click 'Next'.
4. Select 'Use an existing dial-up connection', and choose 'Vantech Media' from the menu, and click 'Next'.
5. Select 'No' on the following screen, and click 'Next'.
6. Select 'Yes' to 'Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now?', and click 'Next'.
7. Type in your name in the 'Display name' box, and click 'Next'.
8. In the 'E-mail address' box enter the e-mail address that you chose during registration (e.g. joebloggs@vspeed.net) then click 'Next'.
9. Select 'POP3' as the 'incoming mail server' type in the drop down menu.
10. Type 'mail.vspeed.net' as the 'Incoming mail server address'.
11. Type 'mail.vspeed.net' as the 'Outgoing mail server address'.
12. Enter your username and password, select the 'Remember password' box, and click 'Next'.
13. Click 'Finish'.

To use your new Vantech Media Internet connection, click the Start button, select 'Settings', then 'Dial-up Networking' and double-click the Vantech Media icon.
