Outlook Express for Mac setup

The following instructions describe how to create a new mail account with Vantech Media. The instructions are based on OS9, however the same process applies to OSX users. If you are using Microsoft Outlook Express 4, you will find that the instructions have similar terms.

1. Launch Microsoft Outlook Express 5.
2. Select 'Tools' from the menu at the top and click 'Accounts'.
3. Once the 'Accounts' box opens, select the 'Mail' tab and then 'New'.
4. Select the second option 'I have an existing Internet account', and click 'Next'.
5. Select 'POP3' from the drop down menu and click 'Assist me'.
6. Type in your name such as 'John Smith' and click the 'Next' arrow at the bottom of the window.
7. Type in the e-mail address that you chose when you signed up (e.g. johnsmith@vspeed.net) and click the 'Next' arrow.
8. Select 'POP' as the 'incoming mail server type' and type in 'mail.vspeed.net' for the 'Incoming' and 'Outgoing' dialog boxes and click the 'Next' arrow.
9. Enter your Account Name and Password and click the 'Next' arrow. If you have forgotten your username and/or password, please refer to your Vantech Media welcome e-mail, or alternatively contact Vantech Media
10. Next, type the name for your new Account: 'Vantech Media' and click the 'Finish' button.
11. Your Apple Macintosh is now setup to use your new Vantech Media e-mail account with Microsoft Outlook Express 5.
